Free Battle - Competition
You may use one to six Pokemon and any Pokemon can be any level. Also you may use the same Pokemon two or more times in a team. Same goes for items.
It is illegal to put more than one pokemon asleep or frozen during a battle.
If you use Selfdestruct or Explosion with your last pokemon to knock out the opponent's last Pokemon, you lose.

Free Battle
Basically this is just your traditional battle, open to anything you can stuff with six pokemon. No Battle rules.

Battle Tower
In Battle Tower you can only use three pokemon altogther.
You can only use pokemon that matches or is lower than the level specified.
No two Pokemon the same
No two items the same
Pokemon banned in the Pokecup are also banned in link battles using this format unless the level is 100

Ways to battle:
One-on-one two people
Each person sends out one pokemon at a time to battle with.

Two-on-two: two-four people - Free Battle
If there is a team then they can only have three pokemon but send out two pokemon amongst themselves at a time. If there is one person then they send two pokemon from their full 6 pokemon team

One on one: three-four people aka Tag Team
Teams of two have three pokemon per person while a single person has six. Send out one pokemon amongst the teams at all times.

Three-on-Three: four-to-six people
Each team is only allowed a maximum of three pokemon(two pokemon per person on teams of three, all six to a single person, three pokemon to two players who decide who takes the third slot)

Battle Royal: no trainer limit
As the name states, it is an all out battle royal with no limitations, no bans, and no rules period. Alliances may be formed, others may be broken, but it will be interesting.(do NOT god-mod your pokemon through it, and in the interest of fairness, try to keep it even. i.e. No putting Charizard in a bug slugfest, or throwing out something like Arceus when there are no other legends out.)
